Freedom Faq's

What is the early history of Freedom Organic?
In 1999, the original owners of Freedom produced their first Organic lager in their microbrewery in Covent Garden. The lager being unpasteurised to the German Reinheitsgetob purity laws. Initially this was only available in the brew bar itself but demand soon grew and the company started producing organic lager in both 50 litre kegs and 330ml bottles.

What is in Freedom Organic Lager?
Slightly changing our original recipe, Freedom Organic lager now enhances the fresh, crisp and dry taste of Bavarian style lager, all products used are organically certificated. Our malt is 'Nody' variety summer barley with a maximum 1.6% nitrogen content to aid our method of 'cold filtering' at 30 microns, after lagering of 6 weeks or more. The crisp and dryness comes from the use of hops from the Hallertauer region with a variety, Tradition and another variety, Perle.

Tell me about Freedom Organic's Finishing process?
Our Organic lager is transported 'bright' in modern computerised tankers, reflecting in a tolerance of only 1 degree change throughout it's journey. After kegging and bottling, our products are stored within a controlled environment. Our 'Best before Date' on our kegs have increased to 5 months and our bottles to a year.
